The main activity of Helios Faros d.d. is is the provision of accommodation services, ie hospitality and tourism and other related activities that are in the function of performing the main activity.
The company was formed by separating OOUR Hoteli Helios Stari Grad from the hotel work organization Sunčani Hvar in 1989.
Helios Faros d.d. was founded in 2005 by the division of the company Hoteli Helios d.d.
PBZ Croatia Osiguranje d.d. and Valamar Riviera d.d. have recognized the development potential of Helios Faros d.d. and through the partnership have created the foundations for the start of a new investment cycle worth over 110 million euros. This marked the beginning of a new phase in tourism development in Stari Grad, Hvar.
On August 16, 2019, Helios Faros d.d. and Valamar Riviera d.d. signed a Contract concerning the management of the hotel and tourist facilities by which Valamar provides Helios Faros with the services of accommodation management, sales, marketing, quality management, procurement, controlling and expert consulting in the technical sector, human resources and investment development.
On May 5, 2020, the company’s shares were listed on the regular market of the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Helios Faros d.d. unites hotel and touristic facilities and business of several former predecessor companies with a tradition of continuous business in tourism and hospitality since the construction of Hotel Lavanda in 1967 and Hotel Arkada in 1977.
It is the largest hotel complex on the island of Hvar on over 147.000 square meters, consisting of 2 hotels and a tourist resort in Priko, a part of Stari Grad.
The company also has facilities in the city center.
Attractive location and spatial resources represent a significant comparative advantage over other competitors on the island and in the region.
Helios Faros’ facilities, surrounded by pine forest and Stari Grad bay, provide an excellent base for family activities, active holidays, or relaxation by the sea in the sunny, Mediterranean atmosphere.
